If we treat industrial waste water with COD~ 3000mg/L and BOD5~400mg/L in an integrated anaerobic-aerobic activated sludge reactor, then what should be expected value of %of CODremoved/%of BOD5 removed?

As an approximation the removal of degradable material, measured as BOD or COD, should be the same. But the removal of COD and BOD will differ depending upon how much soluble nondegradable COD is present. This is why, for domestic wastewater, the standards are commonly that effluent BOD must be less than 20 but effluent COD less than 125. In the influent the BOD:COD ratio is typically 2-3; but in the effluent ratios of 10 or greater are common.
