The question quickly becomes: "How do you define wrong?" Is the professor stating a material error of fact? If so, it might be wise to gather proof of your position and submit it to them privately. Science is moving forward all the time and we are discovering all kinds of things that upset the apple cart of existing knowledge. Or is the professor expressing a view that you might consider wrong for political, racial, or religious reasons? That leads to other problems. What is truth? We have been asking that question since mankind could think. This is especially true in sociology, political science, law and philosophy. If your professor is open to it, you might want to ask to debate your position. If not, then just pass the course .
Thats true, no one is perfect but there is a problem. A university teacher got annoyed when the M Sc students pointed out that 'taxa' itself is used in the plural sense and it cannot be 'taxas'
Its a tricky one, you must know the teachers personality before you jump into the correction stage. Also, be polite while pointing out the mistakes and justify your propositions with good scientific proves like articles, textbooks or academic video materials.

A PhD supervisor is more of a coach than a teacher. The only thing a supervisor would probably teach is the layout of the PhD. He might have some knowledge of the research and be able to read and critique the work but in terms of defining the scope and writing the novel work that is the responsibility of the researcher.
A student should discuss with his teacher/PhD supervisor what is right or what is wrong and should convince his/her teacher by arguments what is wrong and how he/she thinks it is wrong. Apart from this discussion, if his/her teacher stays his opinion, then a student has a right to study what is right on the condition that he/she is sure that he/she is right.
