We did this research and I came to these not yet published findings on which we want to know your opinion: By ablating macrophages the uptake of an imaging probe into the RES was significantly reduced. However, the circulation time was not prolonged - maybe the effect was not detected due to power limitations of this early study - or this might be a first wink to a new understanding of the role of macrophages in the fate of imaging probes. Please provide your thoughts.
