Researchers often use non-linear transformations (NLTs) to normalize distributions, linearize relationships among variables, and simplify analyses.  I'm looking for published and unpublished work (e.g., books, articles, working papers, presentations) on when NLTs should and should not be used, which NLTs are appropriate under certain circumstances, and related topics.  Many thanks for any suggestions you may offer!
