The oil field from which I am going to collect crude oil samples has seven wells with four producing zones. I want to know that what parameters will be necessary to note while taking the oil samples for oil-oil correlation.
I know about geological fields but this is a bit different from traditional geological fields. so thats the reason I need help__!!

First, as the wells are completed in four producing zones, if possible isolate each zone to take the fluid sample individually. With this we can correlate the fluids of each zone in the well, and correlate the fluids produced in each zone between the different wells. It can be characterized parameters such as API, viscosity, temperature vs depth, water composition, WOR, content of asphaltenes and paraffins, ... etc.

technically you can correlate any parameter or property when you have several samples to evaluate and a differentiation aspect such as each individual zone in order to compare/contrast; but as professor Jairo says, the sampling plays a key role in order to have appropiate crude oil samples for your study. Ideally, it'd be preferable if they are very close to the initial conditions from which you obtained them and consider volumetric/temperature/pressure changes; unless you want to focus on stock tank or lab conditions. Other properties to consider are salinity, flash and fire point. Hope my opinion helps!
