Since fuels and engines developed to be efficient together, additives won't help from climate change perspective.
To reduce climate change you can:
- Use less fuel (lower consumption, fuel efficient car, less transportation, etc.)
- Use energy from renewable sources (e.g. 10% ethanol in petrol)
- Use energy from nuclear power
- Use cleaner fuels
Additives have a tiny role in efficiency improvement and engine lifetime (not justified), they are rather marketing tools as the branded fuel is.
