Robinson's (2001) Aptitude Complex Hypothesis and Skehan's (2002) hypothetical model of language aptitude and the stages of SLA both look at language aptitude abilities beyond the scope of current language aptitude tests like the MLAT, PLAB, and even the Llama aptitude test.
As the research begins to examine language aptitude abilities in more and more detail, especially in relation to L2 learning tasks demands, I was wondering what tools, if any, exist to measure language aptitude at this level?
