For example, as seen in physics and engineering, AI does NOT rival or replace the human brain (or soul), it complements. What about in neuroscience, or as we try to emulate the human mind in AI?

How AI (and the scientific method overall) works, is not by affirming a truth nor by denying a falsity, but by approaching both. In AI and science, a YES should be seen as NOT YET FALSE, and a NO as MAY BE TRUE.

Cooperation (e.g., with humans or AI) is then best defined as different agents (human, AI) doing different things, at different times, for the same objective. Understanding that, even contrarians or "evil" bots are cooperating. And misinformation destroys itself, sooner or later.

This can be understood in AI by using Shannon's 10th Theorem, where the "noise" itself is used to clean the "signal".

What is your (scientific) opinion?
