When conducting a laboratory flume test to study on rainfall induced landslides, it is observed that the peak EPWP value decreases as the slope of the soil profile increases.
It seems that debris flow is the cause.

The debris flow generated on the slope during rainfall are the cause of liquefaction due to excess pore pressure induced on the slope.
I understand that this is the content of the literature.
If the slope angle increases, isn't it because the vertical stress caused by the debris flow increases?
The vertical force increases depending on the slope angle.

I think when slope angle increases negative pore water pressure or suction increases due to increase in height of soil profile from lower angle to higher angle. I am not sure.
