Kieu Pham -the first author in our recent paper- is the one who designed and constructed a new wireless illuminance dataloggers. She used the “Adafruit TSL2561” lighting sensor, which is inexpensive, and connected it with datalogger to record the illuminance levels at certain intervals. She will publish a new paper soon about the calibration procedures she made, as well as the new refined thresholds data based on the data she collected from a field study.
Conference Paper A Methodology To Simulate Annual Blind Use In Large Open Plan Offices
I have used TSL2561 before, I haven't hooked it to a logger before the way Ayman Wagdy mentioned. But I have used it with an Arduino to control the intervals of data collection. If you want it to make it wireless you can use the Arduino MKR1000.
