Dear all, am having issue in deciding on the appropriate research design to evaluate a project, the challenge is that there is no panel data and also, the project was implemented in all locations so its hard to find control group to measure the impact. So what methodology/research design can be appropriate?
Do you have measurements on the outcome before and after the intervention ( not necessarily the sequence of values implied by a panel)
So without control parameter how could measure your result . So the test of significant is essential to measure the impact
It sound like your design is what Campbell and Stanley would summarize as XO or "post-test only." They characterized this as the weakest of the designs they considered because it does not involve either a pre-test or a control group.
One possibility would be to use a mixed methods framework and do a qualitative study to compare the best and worst performing sites. In the notation for that field, this would be QUANT --> qual and the label would be "explanatory sequential." Note that this would not so much test the original hypothesis as it would generate hypotheses about factors that influenced the outcome of the intervention.
