Synthesis, spectroscopic characterization and DNA interaction of schiff base

curcumin Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) complexes.

In the 1st paper, curcumin firstly reacted with some aldehyde and then reacted with some amine compound. In the second paper, curcumin (diketo form) was reacted with 2 moles of hydrazine. So, what may be the result of reaction of 1 mole of aniline or hydrazine or any other amine with curcumin? Otherwise, with 2 moles of amine only can possible to carry out the reaction with curcumin?

Note: Curcumin have 2 forms, enolic and ketonic as per literature.
