Dear Dr. Binoy, I think you may have the question in reverse. Since you are building a product you need to identify the demands for sustainably produced fiber in a number of industries. For this, I would suggest that you start networking with industrial R&D departments to identify constraints and needs. You should aim at joint research to develop new products. An example would be how the bamboo producers have moved to marketing bamboo based lumber, especially for flooring.
Looking at existing statistics will only identify existing uses, not the innovations needed for future growth.

My Opinion of global economy based on natural resources, especially Rattan is possible if the crop cultivated modern with innovative technology, the commodity will be able to compete with natural resources
Dr Binoy, Internationally INBAR should have information as this only main agency for specific purpose. For Indian scenario you can see Forest statistics of ICFRE , Dehradun publication, FSI for area and MoEF. But to predict for future economics the demand and supply data will be required from industries or Forest corporations.
