As the volume of information doubles every two years, and that 60% of this information is unstructured (documents), I've found that finding the right document at the right time is getting more and more difficult. Also, as people are retiring or leaving for other reasons, we're loosing the knowledge of these people about the organizations' documents. Not finding something that exists (somewhere) makes me work harder and less productive, and puts us into risk management on a full time basis !
Several factors could cause me to feel overloaded. [I will state that I am recently retired; but I’ve only been retired a little over a year, after 40 years in my profession, so my recollections are fresh.] When a large number of requirements are placed on how a task must be done, so that I have to spend a lot of time making sure I do it the right way and maybe also documenting that I have done it the right way. Being asked by a superior to take on a task that needs a representative from my department, when I already feel I have enough on my plate; I don’t want to let the superior, and my department, down, so I say yes. Being asked to come to a meeting prepared to participate, when there has been insufficient time prior to the meeting, to read materials and think about what is going to be discussed. When I’m asked to spend time regularly doing tasks that are already well covered by other people in my department, so that I perceive that my time is not being well used.
When my schedules are multiplied increased without consideration.
There are several reasons why I am overloaded at work. For example: when I have more than one task at the same time. And also the problem of lack of appreciation.
Dear researcher Thank you for this topic, I feel overloaded with the work because of the rapid development of technology and the desire of senior management to shift towards electronic work with the absence or weakness of the infrastructure that we are working on which makes the task more difficult
I feel overloaded when I receive too much work to do because my colleagues quit work and the young generation at present time doesn't want to work and sacrifice for so long. They expect life balance.

The quest to put in my very best in executing any task within the space of limited resources and time constraints creates so much pressure for me. Thus, making me overwhelmed and overloaded at work.
It depends on the perspective of work. If the choice is not determined by others then that overload is not caused by unhappy but apart from it pretty bad situation will be there.
I always try to do my job as properly as possible. Sometimes when my colleagues do not/unable to complete their work and request me to do that, it makes me feel overloaded in work at workplace. But, I try to help my colleagues according to my ability.
Before we complete one work we get another work. It makes our mind clumsy but no option we have work on it.
