My research covers how well the South African Consumer Price Index and the inflation rates it yields reflect inflation rates experienced by the poor. My research also looks at what challenges (statistical, mathematical, etc. if any) typically exist in the creation of alternative price indices.
I would also.like to know of any resource that I can use to orientate me on how to use the data of an national household Income & Expenditure survey with statistics software like STATA. I have hardly used the program and need to orientate myself with it.
Overall the inflation rate of South Asia is rising. The construction of the Consumer Price Index is universal, same type of basket around the World is used to make the Consumer price index. However there are some limitations to CPI and that is why Whole sale price index is used. You can take guide on STATA from the youtube videos.
