You are part of Facilities Management Consultants who have recently been contacted by a property developer specializing in the provision of commercial and industrial buildings. The company has successfully achieved planning permission for the refurbishment of an existing building. It has the opportunity to convert the building from its original use as an Education Centre to a Medical Centre. Based upon a report undertaken by the Building Services Contractor, it has been highlighted that the existing air-conditioning system has been in operation for 12 years and could potentially require replacement or, with appropriate investment, upgrade the current system.
