So, if you start a programme to change this habit and introduce solid food, fastly teeth appear at oral cavity.

The other point is that mashed food, involves the apparition of other disorders, like phonetic articulation, muscle development, deglution, etc...

I think that one should first consider why parents have delayed the introduction of solid foods in children. Thanks for your answer, but, besides to help in both maxilars growing, what else can be emphatic enough to change parents attitude with son's food. In this specific case, actually children with S. Down have the teething delay. The "official argument" to feed child with mashed food is because they are afraid that he choke with pieces of food. What do you suggest?
