I am doing a study regarding farmers when they join together and start some company.
Do there difficulties reduced after starting the ventures (like middle men etc.).
I was thinking of to list out the constraints and using Discriminant analysis for checking whether a particular factor is constraint or not.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any existing studies for related work, please refer some articles for subsequent technique you recommend to use.

Here are some important factors,
1) land - This is most important factor in agriculture startup. Most of them do not have lands and they try to lease the lands from farmers. It directly affects profit and loss ownership for each of the ventured individuals.
2) water: Most of agriculture ventures fails due to lack of water in region. I have seen join ventures spending millions of money to get enough supply of water. For some months it is okay but finally companies gives up and look for another land.
3) labour - This is self explanatory. Labour is hard to get these days and they know that agriculture doesn't work withouth them.
I would recommend you to explorer these 3 areas and you will get tons of information. Also check DOAJ.com for online journal, you will find lot of information there.
