I have been working on a review that has been structured as a systematized review. I was told that we may need to conduct a systematic review to get published. I have seen systematized reviews published before. Just wanting some insight? Also, what journals should I target for publication for a systematized review?
Dear Nina, yor first step woul be registering protocol of your review. It must be registered before initiating collecting data. In most cases protocols get registered in Prospero.
Then you are supposed to write the rewiew in accordance with prisma checklist.
Keep in mind that team work is a must while writing the systematic review.

I whould highly recommend to pass online educational courses on writing the systematic review. Personally I did like the course by Johns Hopkins University at coursera.org
I think most journals will not accept a systematized review as: (1) it cannot be authoritative on a topic, and (2) there is an abundance of systematic reviews conducted (perhaps one on your very topic).
I would question yourself - why do you want to get a systematized review published? Is it just to get a publication to your name? If so, then there may be some journal that will accept it. However, if you want to truely contribute something of value, that others in the field will find useful, I suggest you do a full systematic review, and try to get that published.
Some journals are specifically designed for review-like papers, such as Neurosurgical Review or Heart Failure Reviews.
