Dear all,
There are many free student licenses software available for educational researchers, projects to achieve degrees like Autodesk products. 3-year student version then another three years for another software and it will go on. Example: Autodesk Maya 2015, Maya 2016, Maya 2017 coming next.
But there are few software companies which do not provide any free version of student license. Example: Matlab.

Now the funny thing is that millions of students are using crack versions of these type of software because they have no money to buy all these software.
So is it not worth full that Companies should provide free access to this kind of software for educational purposes?
I am using Autodesk Maya 2015 student version.

Python is free and an option to Matlab. As Matlab freeware option there is GNU Octave.
For other free CAE software, take a lok here http://caelinux.com/CMS/
All in all, it seems to me that Python is growing and encompass very many fields.
