The enhanced capabilities of DTV will provide educators with new opportunities to use quality programming as part of their curricula. Public television, in particular, will become a stronger partner of educators in bringing educational content to the classroom. The key for educators is to understand that digital TV is not merely television with a sharper picture. However , Internet-based learning does not reach all sectors of society , either by lack of access to the Internet, either by reluctance to use new technologies , increasing educational inequalities in the knowledge society .With low cost converter boxes connected to the TV for Internet access , digital TV offers an alternative to people who do not have the buying power to dispose of computer and broadband in their homes .
The potential uses of digital TV as part of the teaching- learning process is not restricted to distance learning , and may be part of classroom education from kindergarten through the specialization courses and Postgraduate . There is much room for innovation in the generation of educational content , the type of courses offered in the audience to be reached and the business model both for public education and for the private sector . In particular , the use of mobile receivers such as mobile phones , promises to revolutionize the access to and supply model courses and training,
