Definitely Wikipedia is the mother of all references bibliographic, many people have no credibility, but there you can find excellent references, since researchers also edit writings on the page
Implementing initial ideas and sharing them with the world online is the shortest way to convince others of the importance and power of your idea, to join it later and help you develop and enrich it. The words of Linz Trufelds, author of the Linux kernel, summarize the entire issue:
"No one should start a big project directly. You have to start a small, simple project, without expecting this project to become big. If you begin to think this way, you will design it overly and unnecessarily, and you will feel that it is far more important than its real value at that point. Or perhaps even worse, you may be afraid of the amount of work pressure needed to achieve your vision. For this start a small start, think about the details. Do not think of the big picture and the supernatural design. If your project can not solve an urgent and fairly direct need, your project must be overly designed. Do not expect people to jump and help you, things do not work! You have to build a useful thing halfway up first, and then the others will say, "Oh that's already part of my problem!" And they'll join your project "

It should be continually updated.
Current research should not be put on Wikipedia, but it might be interesting to add in each area a section of the key research topic or what problems are trying to be solved.
