Pathology image analysis can be useful, but image analysis programs are not in widespread use yet. I am interested in their implementation, but I would like to seek the expertise of others.
You can use also Fiji very similar to Image J with a lot of automatic additional updates. With these 2 softwares counting, size, surface, colocalization... is possible
I have used several propietary programs in the past but recently I have downloaded ImageJ. It seems easy to use and useful for basic image analysis tasks.

I ma using the MambaImage ( mambaimage.com) which is avaliable for free on the net.. It is the sofware developped by "l'Ecole des Mines de Fontainebleau" and base on Mathematical Morphology.
I have used and still use imageJ software and found it very easy and useful as compared to other proprietary programs as well as imageJ is free.
Image J is good especially for Immunohistochemistry images,,, we at Facility for Risk Assessment and Intervention Studies (NIPER) have used macro function to process batches of images,, 2 day image processing procedure involving 1000's of clicks, carried out in few minutes..
I have used and still use imageJ software - a lot of analytical options, but powerfull statistical/mathematical software is indispensible. Moreover ImageJ is free.
