The top most reason for education in mankind is the very fact that we are humans and being humans we search for truth. And we search for truth mainly through education.
Since ignorance is very very expensive, mankind has to opt for education which is far cheaper.

I fully agree with dear Han's three points of importance for Education.
I might summarise all in one single reason for the need for education:
Education is the fundamental tool for DEVELOPMENT of the modern World. (either in personal, or also in social and National terms). Knowledge and transmission of knowledge are the fundamental basis of our human societies.
Through mass education as part of a modernised globalisation, we can combat diseases.
I also believe that Education for all is the only acceptable weapon in our struggle for international peace, and also against terrorism. Through education and transmission of knowledge and wisdom to our future generations, we may finally help build a better world for the second half of the 21st century.
I much probably won't be around to witness those results, but I do hope that I may have left my contribute by then...

Education is almost the foundation on which human future depends. Education is the backbone of a Nation. Education is a must if we want to do away with the existing differences between different social Classes and genders. Education also makes you wiser so that you can make your own decisions. Education helps you become an active member of the society and participate in the ongoing changes And Developments. Education helps us to realize that basic difference by inculcating in us some moral values. If you are educated, you are well aware of your rights, the law and your responsibilities towards the society. If you are aware of your world and have acquired knowledge about your surroundings, you automatically gain confidence. Studying management equips us to not panic in times of trouble and handle things rationally. Education, herein, becomes a tool of awareness accompanied with knowledge regarding the need to save the planet. An educated citizen not only abides by the law of the land but also contributes towards the growth of the country. Education goes beyond that as it includes an overall development of an individual.
After health, education ranks 2nd as the great equalizer. Despite the many challenges faced in making it accessible to the masses.

- It differentiates human being from animals or other species
- Your education brings about great perspectives in life and its surroundings
- You learn to be patient, to understand your needs and that of your significant others
- You become more mindful that you do not live alone in this world and that sensitivities are part of your education in dealing with fellow colleagues or human being
- You become empowered either negatively or positively, whichever way you choose to turn your face too
- The same education could either make you a great human being or a devil in disguise
Therefore, education does differentiate you from being a worthy person or animal-in-action.

In my opinion, education is an indispensable part of the life, both personally and socially. It is absolutely beneficial for mankind. Without education, life would be disastrous and detrimental. So, we need an education system that may eradicate illiteracy and may provide the common man an access not only to basic education, but also to higher and technical education, which grooms the mankind.

Teaching humanity to human is the top most priority of education.. Unfortunately it is not provided. Other than humanity rest is available.
It is mankind who have made our universal pleasurable & for the entire surrounding the mankind happy & peaceful ,& in order to make their environment it is the education only we should remain the base for mankind.
It is human beings who attend to offer a worthy mankind to remain the participant of the total mankind.
With this ,for every human beings first lesson of education starts from the mother & in his mother who tries to nurture his child for preparing a good ,honest,sincere,worthy child so that with the passage of time in his primary schooling & subsequent to higher level of education he will with his development cherish the same environment which we has nurture from his childhood .
