Could any body tell me what is this fossil name? Its photos are attached to the question text. Its size is abour 1cm. It was found from Albian Shale (Kazhdumi Formation) in the Persian Gulf area. .
My opinion is close to your answer. I think it is a part of claw belong to Albian decapods. I also found some pieces that did not have good preservation. They look like decapods fragments. I just attache the other photos from the found fragments. They are pyritized and oxidized fragments.
Samples are not related to outcrop. They are core samples from subsurface.
I collected these fossil pieces from a formation with 45 meters thickness. 5 meters of basal part is clastic fluvial sediment and the rest (upper section)is marine sediments (argilaceous limestone and shale).
Thank you for your answer. Limitations of core size usually cause missing the macrofossils study. Mauddud is a member of Sarvak Formation in our study area (Persian Gulf) and directly overlay Kazhdumi Formation.
