My project title is " Improve the performance of photocatalytic hydrogen production with carbon nitride-based photocatalysts". I have to design a photocatalytic reactor and I want to know about the xenon lamp characteristics as a source of Visible light for the photocatalytic reactor. The characteristics like: Lamp voltage, Luminous flux, lamp wattage, dimension of lamp, Arc gap, Lamp current, light center length, effective arc size and every important characteristics. Could anyone tell me about the Xenon lamp model and characteristics. Can we use the car xenon lamp too?

I would not advise you to use a xenon lamp as a visible light source. Don't waste your time and switch to LED (Light Emitting Diode)
Yurii V Geletii dear professor, thank you for your answer. If the intensity and wavelength range of LED is proper for photocatalytic water splitting (H2 production), I'll use it for sure.
I could certainly help with the lamp and with an LED, but everything depends on the absorption characteristics of the reaction.
Henning Rehn Dear Henning Rehn, thank you for your answer. Could you please tell me if a LED lamp cover the visible range (400-700 nm) of the light? What max intensity (Luminous flux) can i get from a LED lamp? I need at least 7000 lm in 400-700 nm of wavelength. Maybe I can use two LEDs simultaneously in my reactor to achieve this intensity.
Dear Fatemeh, of course an LED is easier to handle. And 7000 lm is easy (you only have to cool the LED properly). I suggest to check the products of OSRAM and Luminus devices.
Finally you have to guide the 7000lm to the place where the reaction takes place.
Henning Rehn Dear Henning, many manyyyy thanks for you kindly answer. It really helps me. I can use LED lamp and design the proper reactor. I use proper circulating water system to cooling the lamp for sure.

The simplest high power LED cooling is with a CPU cooler which can be bought for 30 Dollars.
