Now a days every researcher receiving many emails as invitation of guest speaker in conference in foreign countries (I am invited as guest speaker to many conferences that are not even related to my field). How we can stop these fake things in scientific environment that are there just for money?
I think one of the ways to avoid such fake conferences is to participate in conferences or symposia organized by the societies or associations concerned with our field of research.
Speaking for myself: I would propose the organizers let me speak on economy. would be the last conference they ever organize
Generally if you ask them what costs / flights they are going to cover that turns them off..
I dont think we can stop them. But certainly our non-participation in such conferences may lead to discouragement of such organisations. It is for sure that the genuine researchers never participate in such gatherings.
