Since plant are reported as the source of various types of secondary metabolites to resist and communicate under unfavorable conditions. Many of these secondary metabolites were reported to have medicinal property. My question is, what is the total number of total different kinds of secondary metabolites across the plant domain, reported so for and how many secondary metabolites have reported with pharmaceutical potential?

As plant secondary metabolites are an extremely large group of compounds,
precise numbers are at best an estimate, of the 200 000 different compounds of natural origin that have been described, about 100 000 are derived from plants.

Dear @ Daniel Orieke, I agree with you, that is true, however my question is not about about the ongoing and under process discoveries, but I was curious about the number of plant based secondary metabolites reported till now.
