Questionnaire based studies have a significant impact in biological)medicine research field involving human subjects. But without a properly validated one, it has no value.
There are several useful sources on this topic in the survey literature, including Fowler, Survey Research Methods, and Dillman et al., Internet, Mail, and Mixed-Mode Surveys: The Tailored Design Method.
Doing a full-scale survey isn't something that can be covered in a handful of articles. It sounds like you are frustrated by the amount of work involved, but creating a high quality piece of survey research is indeed a lot of work, so reading a book on the subject is a reasonable way to get started.
Yes I do agree with David as I've started to strengthen the basic knowledge on survey based research on several main references. Though it may be on a different field, I would really recommend you to read the 'Research Methods For Business Students' (Saunders et al., 2016) book as a start and then you'll revisit all the related journals of your field. I do read other journals from across fields in order to find for best journals that can clearly explain research related terms.
