The caterpillars are leaf folders that feed on the mesophyll of Echinochloa polystachya grass. It looks like the moth belongs to the family Crambidae, because of its 'snout'. Is it probably a Cnaphalocrocis sp.?
You are right about the genus. The species is most probably either Cnaphalocrocis trapezalis or C. cochrusalis. Actually endemic to sub-Saharan Africa but are found in Australia, India, South and Central America as well.
I have in my possession the Handbook: Butterflies and Moths by David. J. Carter which enabled me to narrow down on the possible species. You should give it a try too.
