What is the significant of adjusting standard illuminant C / 2deg to D65 / 10 deg if results doesn't have a significant difference?

I am currently analyzing color parameters of glass samples using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. Tried to compare the results such as Purity, brightness, and dominant wavelength using standard illuminant C / 2 degrees vs D65 / 10 degrees, t-test shows no significant difference to these values.
