Three-point fixation = using three screws on either side.

Two-point fixation = using two screws on either side.

Is it necessary to use three point fixation of each fractured parts even when using rigid fixation with double plates (two plates))? Some surgeons used three-point fixation on the plate at the inferior border while the second plate fixed with two-point fixation.

Is there any research can support the superiority of Three-point fixation at all not only the side of stability?
