What is the relation between pH and Surface Potential developed in Electrolyte - Insulator - Semiconductor FET (EISFET) with a Reference Electrode? Does the Nernst equation imply this? I am also referring to Ion Sensitive FET (ISFET) as well here.
Try to see the relation between charge, potential and PH in zeta-potential.Later you can use the relation between surface charge and surface potential to find the answer to your question
The relation would depend on the material of your dielectric layer. Typically, in case of the silicon oxide, for example, the zeta-potential is increasing with decreasing the pH value of the electrolyte. The shape of this dependence will also depend on the surface purity, but normally it should be linear indicating the inert surface. There will also be the so-called isoelectric point, where your surface potential will equal zero. I would expect this in the range of 3.5-4pH. Below this pH-value, you will get the positive surface potential.
By the way, you should distinguish between the surface- and zeta-potential.
