I would like to know if there are studies that investigated how long primary-school children are able to concentrate on a listening task. Are there official recommendations for a maximum task length?
Depending on the age and the material and content to attend ... but NEVER MORE THAN 1/4 OF AN HOUR AT A TIME, if active listening with attention is intended ... after a rest period of about 10 minutes, more or less, can reactivate attention; But, in this way, after an hour, you have to give 15 minutes of rest and start all over again ... until, more or less 2 hours; after that, the break must be 1/2 hour

Thank you, Francisco Javier Gala, for the references to the two books and sorry for my belated response. Unfortunately I do not speak Spanish. So if anyone has an English reference that would be fantastic.
