In writing a paper it is sometimes unclear what the minimum number of references required by a peer review. Some say a minimum of 20, but some are more or less than 20. Indeed, to determine the exact amount is not easy, because it depends on the needs. However, as a guide for peer-review and journal management, it would be nice if we could determine the minimum number of the references.
