Hi

In my knowledge the unidirectional solidification textures forms commonly in top of the granitic porphyry stocks during transition from magmatic to hydrothermal condition. In the attached pictures you can see a layering texture in a monzodiorite porphyry rock which is seen in the mineralized sodic-potassic alteration zone.

The texture consists of alternative dark and light layers.

Any advise or suggestion would be greatly appreciated
