What software are you using for your data processing? There are some specialised software available that will calibrate your data against a known material, converting channel numbers into velocity - we use Recoil and MossWinn for our data processing.
If you don't have suitable software, I am aware of a spreadsheet based method that was published in 2016, although I haven't tried it personally. DOI: 10.1007/s10751-016-1271-z
Thanks for your suggestion. i tried working with Vinda but my My MS Excel (Office 16) package is 64 bit which the Vinda macro does not support. Can you suggest any other free software for Mossbauer analysis.
I'm not aware of any good, free software that would be sufficient. You could try the WissEl website - they're manufacturers of some spectrometer elements, and they have WinNormos on their website as an extension to the WaveMetrics software, Igor. I'm unsure of whether it runs on 64-bit windows, though.
There was a similar question some time ago with some other answers that may be helpful; https://www.researchgate.net/post/Can_anyone_recommend_a_good_fitting_program_for_Moessbauer_spectroscopy
How much data are you looking to process, and for what purpose?
I would strongly recommend MossA 1.01f computer sofware, developed by Prof Clemens Prescher, ([email protected]). Request for the software and I'm sure he would kindly allow you to down load it free of charge.
