A 70% ethanolic plant extract dissolved in 70% ethanol was prepared for anti-microbial activity (zone of inhibition) with 1x10 pow.7 cells per mL of klebsiella. But no zone of inhibition was found? What is the possible reasons behind it ?

May be because the concentration very low. You must concentrate the extract, or there's no activity to the type of bacteria. Change the type of bacteria.
