Higher possibility due to

1- temporar immunity (lasting for average of two months).

2- most patients will not completely recover from the first attack leading to lower immunity because of the weaker body that can not tolerate a further insult/attack.

3- patients will often take it easier on themsepves and not wear masks and take the required precautions to protect themselves from a second attack because they think that they are fully immune against the virus.

Chances are their because virus have mutation property and attack with new strain.

It is like influenza, which has high probability of recurrence.

The possibility of reinfection after recovery is always there because the acquired immunity against COVID-19 is short lived.

The current evidence suggests that there is no long lasting immunity following infection with SARS-CoV2. Therefore, reinfection with Covid-19 is a real possibility, and such cases have been documented.

Diagnostics have proven that many individuals have a very high rate of recurrence of the virus, and this is what doctors advise

Unfortunately, It has been proven that a person could be affected by COVID-19 virus even after recovery !!

It is documented that a reinfection is possible. But i have been looking for how strong is the possibility for a re-infection? And whether there is a specific factor/s that might increase or reduce this possibility? And does the possibility of reinfection exist from day one of recovery or later?

There is a probability, but what percentage or proportion. So far, no one will say, as there are still few statistics collected. It's all about how many antibodies to covid remain in a person. Some say 2 months, others 1 year. But this is still not thoroughly studied.

I am talking about my experience, I got four times after the first injury and it was useful in boosting immunity because I tested it constantly, and what happened was that I felt symptoms of severe weakness, digestive upset, severe insomnia with burning pharynx and headache, all for one day, (24 hours), and it ended peacefully.

Here in Venezuela, several SARS-CoV-2 infected patients recovered for ~ one month, but mysteriously, they suffered strokes, and they died some weeks later.

I don't think that we the tragedy we have here, there are medical studies, about this issue. But it is happening in Western Venezuela with an increasing frequency.

I guess this is serious and need to be studied to assess the cause and associated factors.

I have read about some cases got stroke or cardiac issues during the infection, but this the first time to report cases got these types if complications later after recovery.

There is probability of getting reinfected as the immunity to this virus is for a short period. Still more studies has to be conducted to provide evidence that the vaccine would have a prolonged protective action

My father aged 90 has been infected twice. At hospital and nursing home. It will be interesting to see if his immune system has improved with the addition of the vaccine.

Accutully There are probability of getting reinfected as the immunity to this virus is for a short period.

I would say it is a certainty. My father 91 has had it twice. Once caught in a hospital and once in a nursing home.
