Dear, mr.vikash, i got this as a solution after solving non linear thin strutures.so, can you please elaborate the word attenuated and absorption in context to Axial stress
Normally in such studies the elastic constants are assumed to be complex for modelling. I guess in your case the imaginary component would imply the part that was attenuated by the medium. And the rest (the real part) was actually employed in deforming the material.
It is difficult to infer unless I know the problem and its modelling aspects.
Basically, Imaginary part of any complex number indicated phase or rotation. Can't we correlate it with Normal Stress. As, when i am plotting the results for stress on complex plane, the graph rotates 90 degree each time with change in Elastic modulus
So stress applied is not always normal to the surface, right? And so you are getting two components? And in your plots, what is that of the order of 10^-11 and so on?
This stress in Normal Stress in X direction and it is induced stress. Diagram is a Complex plane showing Real X axis and Imaginary Y axis. Although magnitude of imaginary part is very less but on plotting on complex plane it is showing this interesting feature but i am not getting what this behavior signifies.
