The output characteristic of the common-base stage is a horizontal line (the first attached picture)... and of the common-emitter stage - a slightly inclined line (the second picture).

But what is the output characteristic of the common-collector stage? I have never seen it in textbooks... and I am curious to know whether there is such a characteristic at all... and if so, how it looks. As the first two are horizontal, maybe this is vertical (the red line in the third picture)? And maybe the ubiquitous negative feedback principle will help to answer this question?
