When growing purified human primary colorectal carcinoma cells in NOD SCID mouse subcutaneous xenografts, tumor-associated stroma and vasculature populating the human tumor tissue are of mouse origin. I'm now trying to derive 2D-cultured cell lines from those xenografts (propagated several generations in mice). In some cases, there is outgrowth of tumor-associated fibroblasts.

I wonder of which mouse tissue origin are those fibroblasts? Are they mouse skin-derived?

Has anybody experience with fibroblast eliminating agents such as FibrOUT (Chi-Scientific)?

Those kits are tissue specific, so which one should I choose in this setting?

Thanks in advance for your help!
