For aerosol-cloud interaction study in WRF model (LES or CRM), you need to keep vertical level spacing 50m to 100m. Now if your clouds are well deeper then cloud top height should be 20 km (near tropospause), so accordingly you can decide no. of vertical levels. If vertical resolution is 100m, then you should keep 200 levels to reach 20km height.

Thanks for your answer. I don't have much experience with WRF yet, but is it possible to run WRF with so many levels for a long term study ?
please let me know which model setup you are using, WRF-LES or WRF-CRM?
How long you want to run the model?
As per my understanding, WRF model run for cloud related study, we need to have 100-200m vertical resolution.
