We're planning a developmental Golgi study that will look at morphology of neurons at different developmental ages (or PND) in independent groups of young rats. I've successfully stained PND 24 and PND 60 brains in the past using the rapid Golgi stain kit, but never did this on neonate rat brains. I'm aware that incubation time into the Golgi solutions has been scaled back for the smaller brains but I don't have any specific info about how long the neonatal brains has to be kept in for optimal staining w/out background contamination. Any suggestions with references are welcome.

Thanks, Stephane
