can anybody tell me the newest report of the study vanadyl sulphate to improve blood glucose level on diabetic mice model in correlation with insulin signaling pathway or moreover the person/research group who concern about this topics in corellation with immunohistological assay? I was reading several journal about it but it comes to only a few journal who report about the development of this topics, does vanadyl sulphate still remain to be focused of some researcher?
The proposed mechanism was that vanadyl ion ameliorates NO mediated destruction of islet B-cells. So, in order to investigate this, 6 days Intraperitoneal administration of vanadyl sulphate was given to low doses STZ-induced diabetic mice, and this led to the reduction of serum glucose levels while serum insulin level were partially improved. It was discovered that this transition metal suppresses NO production from peritoneal macrophages of these diabetic mice. I hope this helps.
