The use of Internet of Things in building automation systems enables buildings to be intelligent.
The Smart/intelligent building involves “the use of integrated technological building systems, communications and controls to create a building and its infrastructure which provides the owner, operator and occupant with an environment which is flexible, effective, comfortable and secure.”
Automatically, this term implies the use of computer tools and soft control techniques in order to control construction applications or sequences of electrical achievements in order to execute a task in the area of building or industrial.
Intelligent systems in buildings are based on smart technology adapted to the automation of control, the functioning of security systems and other systems that operate in homes, apartments, buyers, factory buildings and other buildings. Smart technology is based on a combination of selected advanced data processing technologies typical for the current fourth technology revolution Industry 4.0, including, inter alia, Intenet of things, cloud computing, integrated risk management on Business Intelligence platforms, machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc.
The level of intelligence is linked to integrated or un-integrated IS. Communication between different parts of the IS is linked to wire or wireless. The controller of the IS is linked to sensors or actuators.
These are three aspects of nature of the IS in buildings. However, still there are two aspects.
Intelligent Building System is the system that provides the highest level of protection for buildings from external conditions such as wind, rain, earthquakes and many more
