A deuterated derivatives are the best choise if you use mass spectrometry. For other detection systems try to use other derivative (like chlorinated one) or other compound that has similar properties to the analyte (this is particularly important if you use multi-stage sample preparation procedure).

The instrument for the analysis is GCMS. Injecting calibration standards and IS in the real time analysis; and processing the chromatographs using the post run analysis ; and plotting into a calibration curve.
