Because of the Caronavirus I am running my classes online. In this regard I am wondering if you have that kind of experience and what is the most acceptable app/method for you.

Good question. In my country (Poland), at the moment, starting March 16th, 2020, all schools and universities are closed for students. Teachers are obliged to provide some kind of online support for students. Only some 10 percent, did in the past some e-learning. Now, suddenly, we are in deep water.

Here, we are using Canvas or Zoom. Zoom is open to everyone and basic account is free. In times of this crisis, Zoom removed 40- minutes limit from basic account. To use this, you have to open account with university email. My first experience on Zoom yesterday was very convenient, it is easy to use.
Here is a useful guide from Stanford Uni professors on how to use Zoom and Canvas for online teaching:
- Skype for video conference calls with my university students;
- Zoom with my secondary school students;
- Dropbox- to share and manage learning resources;
- Youtube - to explain visually some abstract concepts or to give a second opinion on the topic we study
- Classtools.net - to integrate various online tools such as time-management, appointing a student to respond to questions (in school education context), etc.
- Aspire.net - to create interactive and creative presentation slides instead of power point
Use Zoom (https://zoom.us), or Webex to construct online learning. Zoom is free and easy to use and enable group interaction and discussion and showing the changes live to a document on whiteboard.
Consider Zoom for group meetings and VoiceThread for assignments. VoiceThread is a way for students to get to know each other in a more conversational nature than the dreary discussion board. I find my students really value face/voice time in the class with both me and their classmates. This generation of students are used to connecting over digital devices, so you can use that to your advantage in the move to online.
Online classes can present unique challenges, however, if you’re not prepared. But if you develop skills for effective online learning, you’ll find the courses can be an excellent alternative to a traditional classroom setting. Here are some tips for online learning success to make sure you get the most value out of your next class.
Our university wholely is using Microsoft Teams now, but there's a professor who runs individual stream on Twitch!
Dear Ruben, thank you for your question, and many thanks for colleagues who answered - this review of online sources for pedagogical practices is very informative!
The tools are important but even more important is to understand what is like to be a student in such situation. Put yourself in student's shoes. For example, do you know that students are experiencing negative emotions heavily in such contexts Article Emotions Among Students Engaging in Connectivist Learning Experiences
That being the case, your role as a teacher is to warn your students and try to mitigate the negative emotions by on-time interaction. Even the content is not important when it comes to the interaction. Another example is to understand that students will most likely find the easiest way to get their job done. You will not be able to control or even predict their behaviors. In our previous experiment, we gave the students a PDF file containing a very short story (self-developed story). A considerable part of the story was covered with a black circle though. The task was to be creative and to recover the missing parts of the story. What was then was that our students searched the Internet for the story to no avail. And then, instead of sitting and writing down the missing parts by their own, they search searched the Internet again to remove the black circle from the PDF. And guess what, one student succeeded to remove the circle and handed out the story to us in complete!

The idea is that, you need to adopt new teaching strategies to engage students in open learning environment. The strategies not the tools are that matters.
You are welcome. In addition, there is an update on facebook application. You can now create your own room more like skype, zoom and google. Try it and see which one is suitable for you. The online classes have come to stay.
