I am trying to polarize the RAW 264.7 cells to M1 macrophages. Can anyone share a phase contrast image of these polarized M1 macrophages. What is the morphology of these M1 macrophages? Thanks in advance!
There is no morphological differences between a M1 and M2. You may be able to use certain surface markers, but that is also getting a bit muddied. Best is a combination of surface markers with cytokin production.
And to keep in mind... m1 and m2 are fluid, meaning they can switch between the two depending on the environment.
