The thickness of foil that can be used in flexible packaging is ranged between 6.5 and 12 micrometers, however, some foils now are available with thickness less than 5-micrometer. For that reason, I am wondering about the minimum foil thickness without affecting the film barrier properties such as water vapor and oxygen transmission.
